Pakistan is placed in Group A with India, Ireland, Canada, and the co-hosts, the USA. They play their first game against the USA on June 6 in Dallas.

“This is an incredibly cohesive and well-prepared team, boasting a perfect blend of youthful energy and seasoned experience,” the PCB emphasized. These players have honed their skills together over a significant period, instilling confidence for next month’s upcoming event.

The formidable Babar Azam is leading the charge. He was reinstated as Pakistan’s white-ball captain earlier this year, a testament to his leadership prowess and cricketing acumen.

Adding to the excitement, pacer Haris Rauf makes a comeback to the squad after a recovery from an injury that kept him out of action since January, a much-awaited return for the fans. “Haris Rauf is fully fit and bowling well in the nets. It would have been nice if he had gotten an outing at Headingley. Still, we remain confident that he will maintain an upward trajectory in the upcoming matches, as he will have an important role to play along with other strike bowlers in the T20 World Cup.” However, the absence of Hasan Ali, a prominent figure, has also caught attention.

Pakistan Debut Player for T20 World Cup

Abrar Ahmed, Azam Khan, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Saim Ayub and Usman Khan are set to debut in a T20 World Cup, marking a significant moment in their careers.

Pakistan is engaged in a bilateral series against England as part of their rigorous preparation for the mega event. Most players from this squad will then travel to the Caribbean and USA for the T20 World Cup, clearly indicating the team’s focus and determination.
